Pete R
Has anyone bought one of these electronic distributors from Moss yet? Seems that they won't work with a mechanical Tacho drive or PI, but surely the tacho drive is part of the plinth it fits into? Pete
stuart
The Tacho drive on a 6 cylinder is part of the dizzy itself and these dont have that. They are similar to a 123 dizzy so you need to have your rev counter converted to electronic.Though it is possible to have the 123 built into a dizzy with the drive. Stuart. Edwin
Like Stuart mentioned: a 123 can be build into a (TR6) dizzy.... About a year ago I bought one from these guys: http://www.123ignition-conversions.com/ Don't know exactly what the price was but I think it was about € 320,- Cheers, Edwin
John L
As a matter of interest has anybody tried or looked into one of these? http://www.aldonamethyst.co.uk/ perhaps a better price than the 123 ignition distributor? Not sure exactly how the vacuum part of it works though, perhaps you have to take out the existing weights, I haven't really got into the detail yet. John
mike3md
Pete, JDO will convert your tachometer to electronic if you really must. Maybe easier/ better to get the current dizzy rebuilt, it seemed OK when you were following Howard and I last year in France. ;-)) See you soon... vegard_s
Do you have any info on putting the 123 into the original dizzy? Hard job?
