Alec Pringle
Spotted this on ebay, something of a formidable car in its day . . . . http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300833631353&clk_rvr_id=429857759544&item=300833631353 Doubtless some of you will recall the redoubtable Henry 30-odd years ago ? peejay4A
A minor point but it's a TR3 isn't it? Advertised as a TR2. The blurb is a bit shouty for my taste not to mention the spelling but that's just me.
2SwissTriumphs
A bit disappointing that there is no engine bay picture - that´s the most interesting bit !
Alec Pringle
Hi Paul, haven't seen Henry for decades, but a few years ago I heard he was alive and well and living near Exeter. How the car might have evolved over the years I haven't a clue, for all I know it might be a jalopy under the skin nowadays, but it was quite a beast in its day. I seem to recall it was supposed to originally be a TR2 rather than a TR3, but given the extent of its modifications the question is academic - It's a TR at heart. AlanT
I was quite amazed to see anyone place a vehicle of this type and value on eBay just before Christmas. To realise anything like the amount asked, would want a specialised collectors auction, with a racing following, I would think. I'd be interested myself if I had anywhere safe to put it. Al.
