JeremyC
My '56 TR3 has five aluminium plugs (four of approx 1cm diameter and one of approx 2mm in diameter) in the top of the cylinder head. They run in a line along the length of the head, with the larger diameter plug in the centre slightly offset towards the rocker shaft. Whilst I believe that the larger plug is normal, possibly sealing a casting hole, can anyone shed some light on why the head on my car has an additional four plugs ? For the record, I believe the head to be the 'Le Mans' type and the plugs have virtually dissolved over the years and are now as thin as tin foil ! Many thanks Jeremy
