Mine was green, but I saw the light and painted it red cos that's what it left the factory as.

The trouble with green is that it reminds me of those bearded people who eat flatulence inducing food, wear sandalls and lecture the rest of us on preserving the planet and riding bicycles! Otherwise it's a nice colour.

Thanks for all the nice comments!!

I do admit to being inspired by Raymonds car

After seeing it at Malvern and Harrogate, plus the

Dozens of Powder Blue cars in OZ.

This car was imported by the Beers , MG dealers

In Essex? About 1989 I think and sold to someone in NI

Hence the Irish reg. Not sure if DVLA will let me

Keep the age related Irish no?

Car was laid up in about 1992 and then was semi dismantled

Before I found it just 4 miles from where I live

Been working on it for about 8 years off on on, with most

Work having been carried out in the last two years.

Much of the work has been done by myself except

Coachwork , which was carried outbt Eyemouth Autocentre

Who have painted other cars for me in the past.

Mods inclue Lhd to Rhd , R&P, hi-torque starter

And small Japanese alternator.

The car was indeed exported as a Powder Blue factory

Car to Texas. It still had Texan sand stuck to it held together

By the years of oil leaks all helping preserve

The chassis! Car still has all it's original panels except fronts

Of the floors and a new bonnet which had a muchbetter leading edge.

Also modified the rearfloor with a wooden "seat"

/ lockers to hold speakers and allow the easy carrying of

Our small dog cage!

Hope to get to Malvern with the car, either with or

Without the Hardtop which needs assembled.

Regards Bill G north berwick
