Brilliant registration number - no wonder they waited for the new ones - RXE not the same as SXE !! ;)

Definitely more comfy than a TR7V8 . . . . . . . .

1st x 3 letters have nothing to do with waiting for the new G reg issue on Aug 1st!

Just lucky or unlucky on the 1st 3 letters, depending on what the 1st owners thoughts were!

Engine and engine bay done!
I've tried to get it to an excellently maintained and really kept clean,

with a slight age patina look!,rather than a full on OTT resto jobbie!

Panels being refitted as they come back.

The final panels came back this morning,1 day ahead of schedule, due to Wayne doing an evening stint to catch up! :)
He is hoping to have enough time on friday afternoon/early eve to come to my place and give it a de-nib and polish before the weekend event!
If not,it will be going back to him for a final flat and polish in a couple of weeks anyway!
Still just on schedule, and today just about finished fitting all panels bar roof and 1/4's! :D
An early start in the morning will see them all finally tightened up,front grille, lights and bumpers on,leaving the roof for the afternoon!
All door and rear wing seals done, rear deck and boot all ok,bonnet seals back on,just the bonnet lining frame to repaint and re-fit.
Casper has,as usual been watching over proceedings, but from his new comfy place, and didnt like it when the bin men whizzed passed!
Piccy link.

Would anyone have a pair of grey Cibie fog/spotlight covers to suit the type 90's on my P6?

Well its been a few weeks since its 1st drives out,and its performing very well!

Ive added a few period extras!

Front and rear ET type headrests,a full set of mudflaps, tacho and clock pod, rear overmats!

I also found a set of NOS door handles, for not a lot more than a rechrome would cost!

It also now has its own very appropriate private poser plate!

All!

I maybe needing some more chemotherapy fairly soon,am just waiting on another CT scan!!

I have therefore decided that I will not be buying another project to restore just yet.

But I will need something to keep me busy over this winter as and when I am feeling up to it!

So I have decided I will remove the body from the chassis on my TR6.

A job I have been meaning to get round to doing is refurbishing its chassis and running gear.

Its all solid and works well,so its purely for the cosmetic look of it!

Body can be suspended in the garage loft, the chassis and running gear on the ramp!

And I can still park the S1 Rover V8 unerneath!

I can dip in and out of working on it as I feel like it,and it shouldnt cost much to do either!

As and when I start on it,I will start a new topic about it!

PS!

For anyone interested in seeing my 1968 Series 1 Rover P6V8!

I have organised a Rover P6 Club 3 car display at the Footman James restoration show at Shepton Mallet

on 1st and 2nd Nov 2014,so come and say hi!

Cheers all!

UPDATE.

I have not done anything to the TR6 as planned, and I have just sold the green 1968 Rover P6V8.

Got a few urgent jobs to do on my daily P6V8 before doing anything on the TR.

And on the lookout for another project to get stuck into.

No current medical issues to worry about. :)

Just got to have a regular CT and check up every 2-3 months.

For anyone possibly interested in buying my TR6.

I have decided to keep it for now and do a few jobs

to get it ready for the TR International in August.

I normally enter it into the pride of ownership.

It will either be up for sale that weekend or it wont.

So,come and see it if you are looking for a TR6.

And have a chat, coz you never know!

Yer a tiger for punishment.

Thought it was the best looking one they ever did, the later ones didn't look very blokey.

In your first post prefer the black one to the red one.
