mjc
Been trying to remove the throttle spindles today, but can't remove them. Removed the disc screws but can't remove the shafts. Is there something else I should be doing? Many thanks Mike
Stoker
Hi Mike I assume you have removed the butterflies and un hooked the return spring. DONT DO WHAT I DID AND FORGET TO MARK WHERE EACH BUTTERFLY CAME FROM. THE RESULT IS DISASTEROUS!!!!!!!! The only other thing I can suggest is to soak in Plusgas or similar and then some light taps with a brass drift. The problem is the Ally body wears a groove in the brass spindle---- hence why you get air leaks here. John
mjc
Finally got the spindles out but very tight. Where's the best place to send the manifolds to be refurbed and have improved spindles fitted? Mike
