Dennis Nelson
I am driving along the highway, at 50 MPH, after a BCTR pub night (and garage tour) and my wipers start going back and forth. Turning the switch on and off did no good, but when I stopped at a stop sign they would usually stop moving, and slowly park themselves. When I got moving again, they would start wiping. And then after about 15 minutes of this - they stopped their intermittent behaviour and became normal again. Any ideas of where to start?
marvmul
What the wiper switch does, is earthing the wiper motor : so perhaps the wire from the motor to the switch is earthed intermittently somewhere.
graeme
I have had a similar problem with my 4A but it only happens in wet conditions, so I assume the lead to the switch is getting wet and shorting to earth. Graeme
