mjc
Been trying to fit a standard ss exhaust to my new chassis. Can't fathom out where the hanger in front of the silencer where the rear intermediate pipes connects to it fits to the chassis. With it being a new chassis has a bracket been left out on the rear crossmember? Any photos would be very much appreciated.
jerrytr5
There's one on the the front diff mounting plate I think, or you can put a bracket under the diff mount nut - is that the one you mean?
stuart
There should be a hole in the shock bridge as per this picture. Stuart.
mjc
Stuart My shocker bridge is fully enclosed box section so should I drill all the way through and use a long bolt or weld on a bracket and shorten the hanging strap? Thanks Mike
Tom Fremont
Well done with the photo, per your usual habit Stuart Mike, You can use the diff mount stud for a mooring with a simple C bracket made of steel or SS strap to connect to the pipe clamp on the muffler. I did this for the same reason ( boxed in channel ) on my show car - as JerryTR5 suggests
