The only one I see in that colour is a TR7 V8

 

so not original tr8 do you have the link

 

In the boot to the right should be the battery

 

on the glove box should say tr8

 

in the engine bay I look out for air intakes at the front of inner wing

 

cant remember but i am not sure but i don't think the tr8 has the battery tray in the engine bay

 

just some wee things I look for there are a lot more

The car is definitely NOT a genuine TR8. It was easy to change the model type on a log book in the 80s. The first thing to check is the power steering, all genuine production TR8s were fitted with it. As Stevie says this car has battery under the bonnet and SU carbs both wrong.

Tony, californian connection have a real TR8 for sale, at their farm in Derbyshire, I have seen it its a real one no rust but sunfried interior.

 

Think its about £4K, will be worth oodles when we all wake up to what a great car they are.

 

Google them and ask for Miranda, shes switched on and a nice person.
