littlejim
Just in case there is someone else out there as ignorant as me. If you have a 'recovery' bottle hooked to your radiator overflow tube you need a 'recovery' cap. I thought that the key factor was special valving at the smaller bottom end but the nice mans at the radiator shop told me that bit is the ssame in all of them. The difference is that extra neoprene washer just inside the top of the cap. Apparently it isn't there in the non-recovery caps. I'll get out of your way now.
randall977
Thanks for the post - useful! I'm about to fit a later style rad in my 4 (so no extended neck), I guess I will need a recovery cap and bottle...?
