It's still listed on the DVLA database, but status is 'unlicensed' since Dec 1995 so not on the road - could well be in bits in a shed somewhere?

If the taxation class wasnt changed on the old V5 (as the tax free one came in around that time) then it will still show as current rate. If it was rebuilt and put back on the road it would then become Historic (Free tax)
