clive
Anybody know anything about this car? It's an Essex numberplate I believe, that is, if it wasn't a "false" plate anyway. It was featured driving very fast around a roundabout with either Bodie or Doyle at the wheel in an episode of "THE PROFESIONALS" :blues:

Guest tr7 turbo
First of all OOM734R was registered by the factory in Birmingham in December 1976,as you will probably know it was registered in the same batch of numbers as OOM 512R,OOM513R and OOM514R, which were factory rally cars. As you mention it was used in the first series(but not the first episode)of the Professionals before British Leyland allowed Ford to take the contract resulting in Bodie and Doyle driving their trade mark Capri.Rumour had it that BL expected to receive payment for the use of the cars wheras Ford were williong to pay for the privelege.
