martynb
Being a glutten for punishment I am re-building my diff. after having damage caused by oil starvation. Ok' I should have been more careful with my oil levels but I am usually too busy enjoying the experience of driving the car rather than laying upside down beneath the thing. Can any of you experienced diff builders tell me the correct pre-load? I have read the triumph workshop manual that gives a pinion pre-load of 15 to 18 lbs ins whilst the TR technicalities CD article suggests a higher pre-load of 3 lbs ft (36 lbs ins) Edited July 29, 2009 by martynb
