Stevie P
Hi all TR6 on PI has bad misfire, had the mobile man round to tune it today, but still the same! Fitted with fast road cam. On deceleration, i.e. after accelereting and lifting off, I have quite a lot of white smoke from the exhaust, but nothing noticable on acceleration. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Steve
jonlar
Hi Steve, white smoke is usually only seen if water or glycol based products are getting into the engine somewhere, have your coolant levels (head/gasket problems) or brake fluid level altered (BF can get sucked in through a dodgy servo). Black smoke is excess fuel and blue - oil, Redex can cause an almost white smeech as well.
raydrink
have your ......brake fluid level altered ? Steve, I'll go with the brake fluid theory. Ray

Water and brake fluid seem OK, I have noticed a smeer of red 'oil' by the distributor, so I wonder if tune-up man put redex in?! Will it stop do you think?
