Didn’t go to the Forum meet but net Andy& Mick on the Register stand, met quite a few old faces, some selling their wares.
Enjoyed the day, just meeting old mates. Thought the event was well attended.

Thanks for the comments, I was 80/20 for returning it to Saffron, think that’s the right thing to do. Mines registered 01/08/70.
The tub has been repaired, new floors, cill, inner and outer, new boot floor and rear panel.
Next step, repair the wings, fit panels doors and gap.

i agree that the Saffron colour is certainly a 70’s colour and the cars presented well do look stunning.
I’ve already got a 6 painted in a Vauxhall colour, so perhaps I should go back to the 70’s

My “J” CP TR6 was originally saffron Yellow, changed to red by the previous owner, now under going restoration, so what are the views on returning to original colour or changing to another colour. If not original it would probably be Royal Blue, however, I assume original colour counts for something? Was saffron only on certain years of manufacture?

if so anyone know which car it was.

visited the show and had a quick look & moved on to other things, I didn’t think much to the design, for me there just isn’t anything right about it, probably a “marmite design”
