    Wet leg

The dash air vent seals to the plenum with a "foamy pushes up to sort of fit" sorry to use such technical terms....... It's difficult to see because it seeps through the seal. Worth a look here. Mine took some time to fix because it was passenger side! John
  2. Genuine Lucas service part for early TRs. Note 120 degree sweep. Complete with little envelope containing shims and clip. TR3 written on the box? £10 plus postage John Biggin 07462474133
  3. It says DR2 on the box. Genuine Lucas part for early TRs. Worth having for when you strip the nylon gear. Note 110 degrees sweep stamped on disc. £10 plus postage John Biggin 07462474133
  4. With the price of a tube of Autosol I thought I would list this as found on my shelf where it has been since the eighties. I think I only used it once as passenger protection when we used to do the Goodwood charity rides in a race car round the circuit. Effectively it is NOS, although I would call it a replica. Just needs a buffing up. The glass has no marks as I can see. The chrome fittings are included. See its mate in action in the photo. (Four hour relay Goodwood?) £60.00 plus postage. Cheers, John Biggin 07462474133
  5. Taken from the top of the submarine pens in St Nazaire. If you look closely you will see my financial advisor knitting happily as I toured the submarine in one of the pens.
  6. I can't bring myself to take this to the skip. I've had it on my shelf for years in the hope that I would Find a matching cover plate and release bearing for my 4A. Laycock clutch was originally supplied on the 4A - allegedly! I'm never going to find a complete one 'cos I stopped looking years ago. It's for a diaphragm clutch and is only compatible with Laycock Cover and release (I believe). The first motion shaft is not included, I used it to show the splines are correct for a 4A. I can't find any reference on the box - pictured. As an aside: In my first years of TR4A ownership I visited
  7. I have two unused 4 cylinder steel shim head gaskets. These have been sitting on my shelf since my race days. As recommended by Kastner and used by many fellow racers in the day. Much easier to adapt to your cylinder head shape than composite gaskets. I haven't cleaned these up so you can see their condition. Some surface rust which you can see in the photos can be easily removed. I would also recommend "Copper Spray-a-Gasket" which I have used this winter on my engine rebuild and I am impressed. Sadly not available in my day! It should work really well with this type of gasket - in my op
  8. Peter, Yes I think you are correct about the boxes. I have tested the springs and they are what I have written on the boxes at the time. Cheers, John
  9. These have been on my shelf since my racing days. SU Butec dash pot springs.. Red is standard for TR4 and 4A. Yellow is stronger. Easy to fit and try on a rolling road which is why I used to have a selection. These have probably been tried in this way but never used. No longer shiny but good. Two Pairs £10 plus postage.
