I have a standard Lucas single speed DR3A wiper motor on my TR4 the wiping arc is perfect not dropping off the bottom of the screen , but when I switch off they park about 2 1/2 inches from the bottom of the screen. I seem to have read somewhere that the parking position car be adjusted by rotating the domed cover on the wiper motor , is that correct and by doing so will I alter the sweeping arc causing the blade to drop the screen ?

Dismantled one of the carbs this morning, it seems my memory is disappearing with my hair. They are indeed brass bushes , on further investigation the pressed in DU Steel bushes were fitted to the later HIF Carbs. Burlen are correct if you drill out the old bushes and fit replacements they will need to be bored and reamed accurately otherwise the rotation of the spindle will become compromised.

Interesting Rob, I was Purchase Manager there and remember purchasing AUD 3080 Bushes from Glacier Metal company in Kilmarnoch I have an original pair of HS 6 Carburetters AUD 209 from a TR4A in the garage I will dismantle the tomorrow and check the bushes

Hi Martin
Its 21 years since my 32 years employment at SU Carburetters came to an end with its closure, but if my memory service me right HS 6 Carbs had a pressed in Glacier DU Throttle Spindle Bush part number AUD 3080 and was not reamed, it was the H Type Carbs that had the brass cast in bush that needed reaming I think the part number was AUD 2717.

Due to replace the spark plugs on my TR4 currently fitted NKG R BPR6HS plugs , the engine is slightly modified with a Piper Yellow Cam. Has anyone any experience of the multiple earth variety from Bosch or the other makes available, are they worth the extra cost ?

Apologies for bringing this up again , postman just been no sign of TR Action 345 should have been out w/c 15/05/23, post in the wilds of north Birmingham only happens when the staff at the local sorting office bother to get out of bed, so this could be the reason. has anyone seen theirs ?.

Just returned from the above event, perfect weather, well attended by all Triumph clubs and well supported by TR owners with their cars , but no TR Register officials or gazebo surely an event of this size should have been supported by the club.
