  1. Tim, Impossible to be certain but I have the same filter set up with an increased bore tank outlet and it takes a 3/8” id hose. Use an R9 or R14 spec hose for ethanol resistance and minimised permeability (smell). There have been many previous posts on fuel hose types.

  2. Hi Alistair,

It looks like you have the multi model BL manual. I have one and it is dated 1977. You appear to be missing the soft back covers, BL / Unipart introduction and the first "contents" page. The final section prefixed 99- covers the various Churchill special tools.

  3. Hi John,

outside of ball with inner jaw square to shaft drilling.  From what I’ve seen on various engines I’ve pulled apart , early 2.5pi, TR5, TR250 have single oil drilling adjacent to adjuster, later cars, but I can’t say from when , extra drilling on top of rocker. The one in the picture has the single drilling and I’m afraid I only have the one. I’ve also seen big variations in rocker pad position over the valve tip with the modern repro rockers and clash of pushrods to head casting as mentioned earlier.

  4. Andy,

The drive slot is OK - one tooth either way will just give a different position for your rotor arm and so a different position of the distributor body when points (?) are opening no. 1 firing. If the distributor body is too far clockwise the tacho cable can restrict rotation. Why not just sit the distributor onto the slot and see where the body ends up with rotor pointing at no.1 contact in dizzy cap?

  5. Hi

No sealant is used on the front face of Bpost where rear wing wraps around. The spotwelded flange of the b post is visible. Non setting sealant on the rear of the B post where the rear wing bolts up is a good idea to keep the weather out.
    Picture may help.

  6. Graham,

These might help; Originally attached with spotwelds on all flanges with possibly some brazing where the front of the inner wing drain channel sits on top of the headlamp panel.
