  1. Been trying to fit a standard ss exhaust to my new chassis.

Can't fathom out where the hanger in front of the silencer where the rear intermediate pipes connects to it fits to the chassis.

With it being a new chassis has a bracket been left out on the rear crossmember?

Any photos would be very much appreciated.

  2. Alec

I have the original V5 green card document from 1968 for my 5 and the engine number was incorectly recorded by the dealers as 516816 the no on the cylinder head.

The engine number is the same as the heritage certificate.

  3. Does anyone know when the TR5 changed from non air bleed manifold assembly to the air bleed type.

My TR5 built 12th May 1968 has no air bleed screw on the front manifold and no air pipe connector on the air manifold.

I just want to know if mine is right for the date.

On page 70 of Bill Pigott's Restorers Guide it is showing an air bleed screw not similar to the later TR6 brass screw as on my 1971 TR6.

If it does't have an air bleed screw how is air intake regulated?

    Many thanks.

    Mike

  4. Can someone please tell me what the physical difference is between stanpart and repro front and rear wings on a TR4 or 5.

I know people talk about poor fit of repros, but how do you tell the difference if a wing was for sale at a show.

    Many thanks.

  5. I've just started rebuilding TR5 CP1836 O. Can someone please tell me if the mounting bracket with one notch goes on the inside of the chassis? When I dismantled the chassis 5 years ago the single notch bracket was on the outside of the chassis. Roger William's book says inside on the chassis. Rimmers TR5 cat says outside. Rimmers early TR6 cat says inside. Thanks Mike
