I ordered 4 DFB101 from Peter W's post and they arrived today and are correct bulb holders for both top and bottom bulbs.
Many thanks for your advice.

Hi
I'm about to send off my rear light units to a specialist for rechroming.
Do I have to uncrimp the metal bulb holders before I send them off?
I've looked in the Rimmers and Moss catalogues, but can't find replacement holders should they prove difficult to remove intact.
Does anybody know where I could get replacement bulb holders?
Thanks

When I had a set restored a couple of years ago it was cheaper to have new badges made than restored.
Maybe about £80 compared to £120.
I can't remember the actual thickness, but say if original badges are ~9mm thick new ones were about 5mm.

Pamela David Enamels can do new badges, but they cannot replicate the thickness of an original badge so maybe not for the purists. They do, however, restore original badges not matter how bent or rusted with stunning results.
Expect to pay £120+ per badge and a long wait.

It's part number 107430 and according to Moss website used on TR2 3 & 4 suspension.
Enter the number on Moss site and it's no 120 on picture.
Someone will be able to provide more info.

The TR5 and TR6 are the same.
Page 92 is correct for 5 and 6's.

I've been asked by a friend of mine to see if I can find the whereabouts of a yellow TR6
Reg EOH 508L
He used to own it 30 odd years ago and would love to get it back.
It's not been taxed since 1987, but it must be out there somewhere.
Last known location was Porthmadog in North Wales.
Thanks

Finally got the spindles out but very tight.
Where's the best place to send the manifolds to be refurbed and have improved spindles fitted?
Mike

Been trying to remove the throttle spindles today, but can't remove them.
Removed the disc screws but can't remove the shafts.
Is there something else I should be doing?
Many thanks

Under the rubber boot protecting the sliding joint there is a threaded cover holding the two shafts together. This will need unscrewing first and then the shafts will split.
This is on early drive shafts from what I can remember.

Pete was that your shell at Ribble Technology? I was up there dropping some panels off for my 5 and there was a 4 waiting to be dipped. If it was were you happy with the results?

It's the plate under the motor as shown. I'm presuming it's black.

Could someone please tell me what colour the TR5 wiper mounting plate was originally.
Mine seems to have some remnants of black paint underneath but with possibly some yellow plating.
Thanks

Any suggestions.

Hi
Can someone point me in the right direction for a new TR5 Hi torque starter?
There are a couple of different ones on ebay, but don't know which is best. Are they much the same?
Thanks Mike

My shocker bridge is fully enclosed box section so should I drill all the way through and use a long bolt or weld on a bracket and shorten the hanging strap?
Thanks Mike
