TR Bitz made up my pipes for both the 5 and 6 and bent them up in all the right places.

I second Damson6 approx £150 per bumper from what I can recall, but must be "straight" small dents not a problem.
Nice people to deal with.

Check the red/green wire bullet connecter under the dash coming from the light switch. It goes to the fuses and then onto the side lights.
I had this problem only last week and I found a bad spade connection on the red/green wire going into the fuse board.
It was a brand new wiring loom as well.

The picture on rimmers website shows an adapter to take a 1/4 inch pipe union.
I've ordered an adapter from Automec.
Hope that sorts the problem.

Just spoken to Automec. A 3/8 thread is too small for a 1/4 inch pipe.
Looks like I have been sold the wrong master cylinder at Stoneleigh.

Hi Jerry
I think it's 3/8 UNF as well, but I can't find 3/8 male union for a 1/4 inch pipe anywhere.

Hi
Can someone please tell me what the size of the thread is for the clutch master cylinder pipe union.
I've got the 1/4 inch pipe but can't find the thread size anywhere for the male union.
Many thanks

Yes the eyeball vents. The eyeballs are plastic, but the surrounds are metal.

My metal louvre vents are a little worse for wear and require bead blasting and new satin black.
Is it possible to split these vents by taking the front rims off without doing too much damage and will they go back together with success.
The last thing I want to do is open one up and not get it back together again.
Thanks

Hi Tim
Sorry wasn't completely clear. The bonnet is the original from the car, but the boot whilst not a TR4 boot is an original TR250 boot from America.
The boot is mint and has never been repaired along the bottom edge where they all seem to go and the badge holes are the same as the TR5.
The only spare panel I have is a NOS Stanpart right hand side rear inner wing still with the Stanpart sticker on.

Hi Tim
I have original bonnet and boot for my 5, but the shell is being painted and won't be back for about a month.
Both panels have no repairs so the badge positions will be spot on. If you're not in a rush I can send you stencils.
Pm me in a month if you've not managed it.

Pamela David enamels will restore that badge for you and it will come back rechromed and enamelled and looking like new.
The results are very impressive.
Google them they're down near you.

I've just picked up my bumpers from the chromers today and very happy with the results.
I'll be using Tectyl 506 to rustproof the inside of the bumpers, but will it be better to paint inside them first?
What's the best paint to use here and will it stick well to the rough chrome on the insides?
Thanks

I'm looking for the insulating sleeving to go over each wiring loom tag.
What do people use these days and where can I get a length from?
Many thanks

Looking at my old original shell they are directly above the second wing fitting nut from the front and the second fitting nut from the back.

No it's a standard set up with no ballast resistor.
I just wonder if I got a dodgy DLB coil.
-
My friend came round looking for a coil for his old landrover to get him out of trouble.
I happily took off my 10 year old coil from my TR6 as I had a new Lucas gold DLB 105 spare.
Fitted the gold coil to the 6 and it ran like a dog missing on take off.
Got the old coil back and I can't believe the difference.
Was this the wrong coil?
What is the best coil to fit these days?
Thanks
