  1. Bit TRicky as the tank gets wider the nearer the fuel gets to the filler for the first few inches. The only way to be sure would be to start with an empty tank and add a gallon, mark the stick and go again. Good luck.
  2. Hi can anyone tell me the amperage rating of the brown wires (two sizes) that come from the starter motor to feed the loom ? Thanks. Laurence.
  3. I’m no wiring expert but I can confirm the ballast for TR7’s is a thick pink and white wire that runs from the fuse box area across the back of the dash. I know this because I hade to un-tape this section to see what had been burning, sure enough it was the ballast resister wire. I now have a resister mounted in the engine bay and the pink and white wire has been terminated. Laurence.

Thanks Derek. I will let Richard know. I don’t suppose the chap in Orpington was called Ray was he ?
  5. Hi Clive. Without checking I pretty sure it goes from the pump through the near side inner wing over the wheel arch and pops out near the headlight panel. The should be some obvious holes with grommets to accommodate the pipe. You will need a straight pipe connector to rejoin with the pipe that runs inside the bonnet skin. I think I used a flexible plastic tape measure to pull the pipe through. Cheers Laurence.

In recent years I met a chap (Richard) that owned the above TR6 in the 80s. It took a while but I eventually got him to send me a photo. Any other owners out there? I’m sure Richard would love to hear what happened to his car.
