  1. I have a rubber bung in the left side of my (fibreglass) gearbox cover, and it makes that job fairly easy - wise words from Mike/Brenda about filling, using and then topping up. I put in 1.7 litres (I have overdrive) at first, but have 2 litres available for the job. As I have a TR4, I have no idea how to fiil the diff on a 4A. I fill my diff by removing the left rear wheel and using a somewhat longer tube on the squidgy oil container. Ian Cornish
  2. Although a cold day, I had a fast, wet, run to Gaydon early in the morning and an even faster, cross-country, run home in the afternoon. Stuart Turner opened the event, and - as ever - was amusing and placed long-distance rallying in context. Graham's 3 interview sessions with Robert Connor (whose book on the 1968 London-Sydney is due to be published this autumn), with the 4 rallying Ladies, and with the 3 rallying men, were very interesting and, often, hilarious. Rosemary Smith had come from Ireland, is as tall and slim as ever, belying her 78 years, and definitely has the gift of the blar
  3. A group of enthusiasts has organised this event, which will open to visitors at 10:00 am. In addition to a considerable collection of long-distance Rally cars, there will be a number of well-known Rally people, including (alphabetical order): Derek Bell, Mike Broad, Willy Cave, Terry Hunter, Tony Mason, Rosemary Smith,Stuart Turner (who will open the Show). Our President will be providing commentary and conducting interviews. There will be other Rally cars which did not participate in Marathon events, such as the London-Sydney and the World Cup Rally, which is why I have been invited to
