  1. Hi Jerry, Without seeing the circuit a little guess work would suggest that if the amplifier section is a big(ish) IC then with one channel having problems the internal safety system may shut it down (on all channels). So the answer is Yes. Replace the speaker Roger
  2. Hi Richard have a look here There are other video clips on YT Roger
  3. Hi Justin, How much are they? Roger
  4. Thanks Chaps. Peter, I had thought of that but it is a lot of buggering around. Roger
  5. Hi Phil, Soak it in White Spirit and use a scrapper to loosen. Once removed, the inside of the sump can be cleaned with the cleaner of your choice. Roger
  6. Hi Folks, is it possible to refill and pressurise an aerosol can once finished. I'm thinking of Wynn's Brake & clutch cleaner. Roger
  7. Hi Phil, I use Wynn's Brake & Clutch cleaner. It works very well on any grease / oil I prefer the aerosols for convenience but not cheap. A 5ltr can is significantly cheaper but less convenient. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=Wynnes+Brake+%26+Clutch+cleaner&_sacat=0&_odkw=Brake+%26+Clutch+cleaner&_osacat=0 Roger
  8. Hi Ernest, SuperPro bushes had no effect on the stance of my 4A and the driving/control appeared to be improved slightly. The main benefit is the longevity. The standard rubber bushes have a question m,ark over them. Roger
  9. Ooops! didn't see that. However the channel may be usable with the bottom slides replaced. Roger
  10. Hi Frank, following Stuarts lead - here is the Metro regulator from Rimmers. Dead cheap worth buying one to see if it can be adapted. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID000630 Roger
  11. Hi Frank, four or five years ago Pete Wigglesworth put a post on showing a source for something very similar. The channel will work but it will take some fettling. I think I have 4 in my todo box. They were about £5 each. I'll have a look for Pete Forum handle and posy it here. BlueTR3A-5EKT If the original source is dead then You can have one of mine. I'll look in the garage to see what needs doing. I thinkl it came from a BL salon car !! Roger
  12. Hi Alf, the thin walled wire works well. It is usually quoted as able to carry more current than the equivalent thicker walled cable. Have a look here CABLE Roger
  13. Hi Alan, make sure that no body work or bolts from the bonnet rubbers are protruding too far onto the RED wire. Roger
  14. The Cyclone Racer is a beauty. Everybody should have one. Roger
  15. Hi John same for me. I suspect a continuation of the other week's disruption. Contact the office would be the way to go. Roger
  16. Hi Chris, The pink Ribbon was something of a joke. Out of interest, having used Gorilla glue on the splines how will you remove the wipers in future ????? The problem with the Phillips screw and wedge is that the vibration of operation causes the screw to slacken off until the blade shoots off Re-tightening every 1, 2 or 3 months keeps them secure. And off course upon checking they are always tight. I do like the Pink Ribbon bodge tho' Hi Andy, you are correctr. Going to Shepton Mallet last Summer the artm came off. Thankfully iy stayed on the bonnet
  17. Hi Gordon, there is somebody on the USA forum 'TRiumph Experience' that is making NEW Rostyle covers. You would need to log on and ask who, what, where tyype questions. They are a good bunch of chaps. Roger
  18. Hi Dave sorry, there is a circlip underneath. You need to remove the motor. Roger
  19. Hi Dave, take the top hat cover off the motor. The rack can then be disconnected. Then the gear wheel will simply pull out. Roger
  20. Hi Dave, did the armature move freely when turned by finger. Did the brushes look good and sit firm. The replacement wipers are too rich and still work badly (IMHO). Have you considered the TR6 14W motor. It looks different but should fit. It is two speed but you only need one of them. As single speed I think it only needs a simple change over switch. Roger
  21. I think it may be an omission on Moss's part. It seals around the drain plug and allowing accress to undo the plug and also around the fuel pipe Roger
  22. Is this what you are looking for Item #4 Seal Roger
  23. I had two really beautiful Irish girl friends and lost them both. I still feel a little Irish inside me. Roger
