  1. I’ve just followed Stuart’s link for the Gate R14 fuel hose and ordered the 4.6 metre length. Far more than I require so if anybody wants to buy a length from me please drop me a line. It’s better on your car than on my shelf 8mm 5/16” Gates 27348 hose
  2. Colin, I had zircotec coat my tubular (TR4) manifold. I took it to them at Abingdon and they did a great job. This was August 2011 and the finish is still in great, almost like new condition. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
  3. Genuine magnesium ARE Silverstone, sourced from the States and then crack tested and finished by Ian Jemison Engineering. Finished with Michelin XAS. I just love 'em!
  4. The Chromed brass windscreen cappings that Tom has mentioned above were only available 'I believe' on the early TR4's, but offer the protruding nose that is required to help the securing of the leading edge of the surrey soft top as Roger has touched upon. I went down the route on my TR4 of replacing the TR4 windscreen with a TR6 windscreen and adapted surrey soft top with a TR6 header rail to uterlise the TR6 fitting system. Whilst I puzzled over the best route to secure my surrey soft top I did source a chromed brass windscreen capping. This is now excess to my requirements so if o
  5. Hi Conrad, if you have that would be superb. Drop me a pm on availability and price. Cheers matey.
  6. Chaps, I am hoping to source a pair of second hand rear light lens (amber/red) that are original Lucas L669 numbered. If anybody has a pair tucked away that they are happy to part with for a number of beer tokens, I could guarantee them a good home. if I can source the above I will be able to make available a Lucas L799 lens, original to the TR5. thanks, Chris
  7. Hi Roger, Thanks for the compliment. The photo was taken in early September, somewhere high up in Italy. I cant be too exact as we were on the Club Triumph 10 Country run and at times it was all bit of a blur but bloody good fun. I would say the cars colour is an Old English White but cant be more exact than that as the car underwent a renovation in the late 90's and I have only had the car for 14 years.
  8. Looks a great trip Roger, Very jealous, Can I ask where the castle and the city walls are? Thanks, Chris

Link may interest a few people here. http://www.greatbritishclassiccars.com/cars/triumph-tr4-2-for-sale/ i am off to polish my 4 ......oh by the way it’s nowt to do with me.
  10. Hi Nigel,

i see that you are looking for a hardtop for your 4.

if it is only the hardtop and you have the rear screen I may be able to help you. I also have a 4 with rear screen and an aluminium hardtop, but I also have a good steel hardtop which i am willing to let go at the right price. I am not selling it off cheap as they are so hard to come by now, and I was planning on refurbishing it as an alternative for myself.

It will need to be refurbished but it is all there, and is not at all rusty. It also has the rear stainless steel trim. If you want a photo I can sort that. As I say I am not selling it off cheap so I would be asking for £1,200.
