Link may interest a few people here. http://www.greatbritishclassiccars.com/cars/triumph-tr4-2-for-sale/ i am off to polish my 4 ......oh by the way it’s nowt to do with me.
  2. Hi Nigel,

i see that you are looking for a hardtop for your 4.

if it is only the hardtop and you have the rear screen I may be able to help you. I also have a 4 with rear screen and an aluminium hardtop, but I also have a good steel hardtop which i am willing to let go at the right price. I am not selling it off cheap as they are so hard to come by now, and I was planning on refurbishing it as an alternative for myself.

It will need to be refurbished but it is all there, and is not at all rusty. It also has the rear stainless steel trim. If you want a photo I can sort that. As I say I am not selling it off cheap so I would be asking for £1,200.

  5. Hi Pete, I brought a set of ARE magnesium wheels back from the states and had them crack tested and refinished by Ian Jemison. http://www.ianjemison.co.uk/ I was a little concerned with putting a set of original mag ARE wheels on my TR but the crack testing gave them a clean bill of health and the finish that was applied stopped all further corrision. They still look as good as they did when finished and have done @18K since. Ian Jemison offers great advice from my experience. Hope this helps, Chris

I placed an order with Don Hoods after being quoted a lead time of 4 to 5 weeks. We are now 9 weeks in and unsure as to when delivery will be.
  7. Ditch the Hire Car and take a Taxi Ride. This is no normal Taxi but will be an experience to remember forever! http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/drives-fun/drives/co-pilot-rides.html

  9. Thanks Stuart, Thats great, I can get it to the base of the slope but with a little bit of warmth applied I should be able to find that extra 1/2" Many thanks.
  10. Thanks Stuart, Foolishly I havent yet got the rear sealing rubber which as you say would strongly indicate where to finish the vinyl. I will pause what I am doing and order said item
  11. Gentlemen, As the title indicates I am trimming a hardtop and rearscreen this afternoon, I am taking my time and everything is going fine. I am however pondering how far to pull the vinyl round or where to finish the vinyl at the rear of the hard top. Would anybody be able to forward or publish a photo of how this should be finished for my clarification/sanity? Thanks Chris
  12. Is it possible to get TR4/5 sunvisors using the original long horn fabric pattern? Are there any companies out there that could make said sunvisors if they were supplied with templates and material? Just a thought, Chris

    TR4 MPG

I would imagine that a car with the rear screen and hard top on will return better mpg than a convertible TR4, as it would be more aero dynmically efficient? Does anybody have any experience of this aspect?
