  1. Hi Roy - all done, thanks. Very pleased with the service from Decorrosion Services. Chassis was blasted and etch primed. Seemed that plenty of care was taken. When I was dropping it off they were in the middle of doing a Dino shell and a few other things far more exotic than a TR chassis - so I'm guessing they really know what they are doing!
  2. A quick update on progress with my TR3 while I wait for the rain to stop! Removed the body with no major drama. The chassis has been blasted, painted and is back on the stands being built up again. Gearbox and axle have been checked over, new seals fitted, cleaned / painted and all back together. Steering box is rebuilt and awaiting a coat of paint. Slowly working my way through painting all the brackets and fixings. Every time I think I'm done I find something I'd forgotten... Will turn to the body next but nothing major to do. A couple of minor repairs needed to the NS front
  3. Richard, Fingers crossed you get it sorted, but just incase, I happened to spot the following on Martin Lewis’s website earlier today: “Kärcher's doing a 20% off sale this week, starting at 12.01am on Friday 29 March... but we've Blagged an early access code so you can get the deal NOW – just in case sale stock runs out. The code – YWMSE20 – is valid on all items, including those already reduced. Just enter it at the checkout by 11.59pm on Thursday 28 March (after that the discount will be available to all, so you won't need it).” Cheers, ben.
  4. Hello, All. After a gap of 13 years or so I’ve rejoined the Register and bought myself another TR. Previously the owner of a TR6 (SLF 991L) that I sold on to Neil (ntc) and that was later restored by Marko at Classic Marks, I now have a TR3a. A couple of month ago I purchased 704 FTT - a car well-known to many on here as it had been in the ownership of Brian Chidwick, who sadly passed away last year, since 1977. Overall it’s in very good shape: solid, including in all the places where often they aren’t, and with a lovely patina that I don’t want to lose. It needs a suspens
  5. Hello All: I’m looking for a recommendation for someone to give a TR3a chassis a light blast and a coat of decent primer somewhere in Surrey / South West London. Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers, Ben
