About Me

My interest in automobiles started in my childhood in the early fifties. Playing around with Frank Hornby's Meccano and Dinky Toys, and of course later the Corgi Toys. I was busy collecting Full Speed cigarette images of common and sometimes very rare automobiles, pasted them into nume-rous albums which I still cherish. I've read about automobiles I never had seen or even heard of! Later I fell in love with English automobiles from the mid forties up to the mid sixties in particular.

September 1991. My dream came true, when I obtained such a sports car. A Triumph TR3A Roadster! The more I saw and read about those automobiles the more I could appreciate the designs behind them. The older automobiles are often partly handmade and possess a beauty that you will not find in modern streamlined mass produced vehicles of nowadays. Some are masterpieces, interesting and to be appreciated as any other piece of art. Of course modern automobiles are usual faster, more comfortable and have more equipment on board compared of the older examples. But somehow, it gives you a special kind of feeling, sitting behind the steering wheel of such a beautiful classic sports car and driving along at its own pace.

It takes you back to the romance and glamour of motoring as it was in the fifties and sixties. And above all to pass through the passion as much as possible. Encouraging each other to keep our TR's on the move, for now and the future, for as long as possible.
