  1. I remember in the 1970s when British Leyland folded parts for my TR6 were very hard to get with nowhere near me had stock,

I remember having to travel to Cox And Buckles Birmingham, did they sell to MOSS   ? yes in 1989.

  2. Very sad news , Bob was a larger then life character full of energy always in the front of planning and organising, I remember Bob turning up at the Antrobus Arms Red Rose meeting for the first time  in his white TR6 that he had just bought . He was made up with his purchase,  He went on to became group leader then North West co-ordinator for many years.

Rest in peace Bob,  Hazel and Gordon.

  3. Thanks to to you all, its also an anniversary this month of me buying my current TR6 in 1981 , 42 years ago from DCM TR Center Lexham Mews London,

Also we put a deposit down on my works van to be converted to a camper,

I see that it is still around Gordon, but now painted Sapphire Blue. I like the wing mirrors, not seen nowadays.

Funny that , my 2nd TR6 that I bought from DCM TR Center Lexham Mews London in 1981 was Mallard blue, I think I still have the wing mirrors in my loft.

    Cheers Gordon.

    Hi Simon,

It was recorded in the General Managers Report for the Triumph Motor Company Board meetning of the 7th July 1972 that the 1973 PI vehicles had satisfactorily passed the compliance tests at the Dutch Testing Station and had received approval relative to Emission Standard E15 which was due to be adopted iin Europe for all cars built after 1st  April 1973. From this it appears therefore that the changes made did indeed work.

Good to hear that Saffron has grown on you. I've had mine since 1978 and whilst it wasn't my favourite colour at the time it is now.

    cheers

    Derek

My first TR6 was Saffron, I bought it abbot 1977, Cheers Gordon
