Thanks all for the responses.
I think I’ll look to replace the tank outlet and see if I can come up with an arrangement not dissimilar Harry’s above (thanks Kenrow). Please, can anyone advise me as to what the specification of the original outlet (part no. 151204) is.
Many thanks
Many of us including myself have the pump and filter located under the nearside wheel arch. this not only helps with keeping the pump cool, but creates plenty of space for a fuel tap under the tank as well as other small spares we all carry.

Yeah, fess up what did you do.

Others probably know better than I but my first thought was would an additional washer help tightening down the bolt?.

If you put out peanuts as well as fat you will attract woodpeckers and many other species, although peanuts are not cheap these days

Looks like Triumph code56 Royal Blue.

Mine has it too. I am sure it helps with not grounding.

X2 with Stuart and you don't stick to fabric in the summer like you can on leather.

Happy birthday Roger. Have a great day.

Roger, do you put any sort of wax/polish on the car before its storage. I have always wondered if there is any benefit or not to waxing it up for storage.

Happy birthday Marko, enjoy your day.

Well done. Many more have been following this thread than just those who have contributed. You should be proud of not only your perseverance but the knowledge that has been passed on.

Hi Phil, Remember what Donovan sang about in 1967. That would clinch it for me.

Hi David, Try Pamela David Enamels. Got my TR5 bonnet badge from them and its excellent. Had to wait a little and its not cheap but well worth it. Don't fall for the ones on sale from usual suspects for around the £40-50 pound mark!! they are awful. Say high to Tracie from us.

Hi Waldi, just for info I got my tap from Revingtons. I don't recall price or diameters I am afraid.
