Thanks Keith. The panel lights have worked fine for 25 years but I recently fitted new speedo and rev counter cables so that's probably where the lights were getting an earth previously! Anyway, earth wire duly fitted.

Does anyone know, should there be a wire linking the cases of the rev counter and the speedometer to earth, please? I've got a link between the two but no earth.

Sorry, just realised they have fixed head rest. I was hoping to find one's with removable. Shame because they look a real bargain.

About 4 years ago you mentioned overhauling a Lucas control box when I was struggling with starting problems on my TR4. I'm now back inmtrouble with faulty control boxes (either no charge or no control) and fed up with buying rubbish repro ones. I have two genuine Lucas ones that need attention. Can you help, please?
