  1. Mine is the IRS UK version.
  2. Many thanks for your comments. Looks like I'll need to remove the springs starting with the rear ones. Hope it's an easy job!!
  3. I have attached a photo to help with ride height comments. I have also measured the distance from the very bottom edge of the sill to ground level which is about 6 - 6 1/4inches.
  4. My drivers side window winder handle is very stiff initially but loosens up after a few winds. The next day it exhibits the same problem. Is this an easy fix?
  5. Looking at old invoices for my car it looks like the previous owner has fitted uprated road springs. Is there any point in this for a road car and could it give you a higher ride height?
  6. I am probably one of the few that prefers the look of the fold down hood to the Surrey Top and am therefore considering this option. Has anyone carried out this modification and if so, is it relatively straightforward? I am well aware that the car becomes less desireable but I would hope to recoup some of the expense by selling the Surrey Top including the fabric and steel roofs.
  7. All points noted, so I won't bother fitting a glass filter. A valid point that it is one more thing to go wrong!!
  8. My TR4A looks as though it might be sitting higher than it should be. The tyres are the correct 80 profile size. Does anyone have the correct dimension between the wheel centres and the bottom edge of the wheel arches? Or, failing that the distance from lower edge of sill to ground.
  9. Thankyou for the responses. Lots of different suggestions. I might go for the option of fitting a motor cycle tap but can't make up my mind now about fitting a filter. I quite like the glass ones because you could then visually note any rust, etc coming from the tank.
  10. I have signs of a slight leak at the threaded fuel line input to the mechanical fuel pump on my TR4A. When I unscrewed the junction I could not stop fuel supply from the tank, so quickly reconnected the feed. Is there any way around this problem as I wanted to remove the filter in the pump to clean it. I did wonder if it was feasible to fit an in-line on/off fuel tap? I also intended to fit an in-line glass filter between the tank feed and the pump but I would also have the same problem if I wanted to periodically clean this filter.
  11. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a set of 4 spacer rings to fit on the standard wheel studs on my TR4A for fitting wire wheel hubs?
