  1. thank you but will it work the same with electronic ignition?
  2. Firing order correct. I think it is the timing. How would I set no1 at 10 degrees before TDC with the engine not running?

  4. I'm back !!!! Fitted new nylon hoses from TR Trader - thank you Carl, top bloke. Engine no 1 TDC - no 6 on the metering unit fully open. Car will not start. Dizzy pointing at no 1 Checked plugs - ok strong spark Checked injectors - could be better. Replaced all 6 injectors - thanks again Carl - bled injectors. Car will still not start? Checked plugs which are wet so getting fuel. What am I missing????? Thanks for any words of wisdom. At the moment its a bloody big yellow brick in the garage.

  8. Ha Ha, crying into my beer. Took the advice of Kevo_6 and went to TR Trader. Spoke to Carl who made me a nylon set the next day. Now just have to fit them. The mechanic who was fitting them has now gone awol. so may have a go myself. He removed the metering unit together with the distributer (marking the rotor position). So long at the rotor is in the same position - all will be well?

  10. I went to Pirtek in Liverpool today and they just scratched their head. I have left one pipe with them to investigate etc but now getting disheartened and will end up buying a set from one of the main players. Has anyone any joy with replacing them and where from please?
