well done mate, love the old white, wires would be my choice if staying standard looking, minilites if not.

That sounds like a great idea, any chance you could make a few extras to sell? I for one would like one, fumbling around the footwell is a right pain.

If its as good as it looks, changing out the interior wouldnt be too expensive and I guess some one would be interested in buying it to off set that cost?

When I had my 4, towergate were happy about me putting my son on the back seat, I did fit a rear lap belt.
Not an issue now as he's far to tall to fit! Where did those years go?

Alan I have no idea, but clearly the cleaning fluids have taken their toll on you!

Thanks Dennis, Stuart I promise to only use when I haven't had a Guinness, vino or scotch! That doesn't leave much time to use it!

Guy is going to be so jealous, as it has two heated rails! I wonder how they get the plumbing to the rear one?

Neil, used your technique, very happy with the result.
Conrad, you were right, something quite satisfying with the masking!

Hi Conrad
Coffee and a fag, revisit, out she pops, with some slight lifting of the bonnet edge. Looking forward to putting it back, not.

Did you guys have to remove the bonnet to take the grill out? looks like I am going to have to, the top lip of the grill is 5mm to high to come passed the front of the bonnet!

Like Guy and Alec, I highly reccomend Andy Wiltshires tanks, I fitted mine only yesterday, as Guy says a work of art, cant bring myself to refit the tank cover board!

Cheers Neil, I assume you applied car plan primer first before the matt black, I bet the masking took an age!

B&Q do something that could be adapted and would help with the cooling as well!

Robin, they do just pull out, squirt of WD first. They obviously do want to have some resistence, so they dont come down of their own accord.

I am about to.

Bob of that there is no doubt, on my third report bonnet badge in four years, due to bits of paint flying off. Humbrel do a matt 103 which is a very close match to the repo colour used on the badges if it's only a small bit that has come off. Usually though large bits fly off.

No heated towel rail though! Guy I guess you have seen this in the flesh?

Its always baffled me as to why they put the ignition switch below and the put a big cowl round it, to make it even more awkward. Cheers Carl
