  1. Hi all

After finding free play in the near side rear hub I’m in the process of buying a new unit from the usual suspects am l right in thinking moss are only selling new units part number 402347 ? It’s confusing me as the price with discount is £280 which is nearly £100 less than some are charging for exchange units or have l misread ?

  2. Hi Mick l supplied the dash top and crash pads they sent them down the road to the trimmers. The ‘H’ frame l did myself with a kit from eBay . The small splits and missing bits of vinyl they fill as long as it’s not too big a piece missing ,l believe they use body filler and sand back, from the conversation l had with Gary

  3. Hi Phil l always leave my oil level mid way up the dip stick just remember that the min is the lowest you should have in the sump and the max is obviously the most in between is fine the lines are just guides

  4. I’m with Bob Westway 20/50 although it’s their mineral oil not semi synthetic good value as well especially when you buy 20lts no need to buy a designer brand it’s all the same in the grand scheme of things if you have low psi it’s not the oil causing it

  5. I’ve got the arms that use a Phillips screw to tighten onto the wheel box to help keep it on l used gorilla glue on the splind portion that attaches using the screw yet to use in anger but stayed attached when dry run tested

  6. Hi Jonny

Those fish eyes look like when the panel was painted there was some silicone present you may have to sand back a tad further and completely clean the area  prior to painting. A tip l was shown many many years ago was to use 1500 grit with a bar of soap on the top coat to flatten before compound and polish good luck with the finish however you proceed

  7. Hi Pete

I was thinking along those lines also, perhaps using stainless steel L shaped brackets to hold in situ along the radius more thought is needed of course but I’m sure something can be fabricated

  8. Thanks Peter will do that will come in handy elsewhere going to hunt for some stainless shim washers for the nuts I’m sure back in the seventies when we stripped wheel boxes on jaguars and such like there was a thin chrome washer unless my memory is playing tricks!! no comments please
