  1. I just try and use mine as much as possible, if the roads are in anyway salty it gets a pressure washer put underneath and a clean over before getting dried and put back in the garage. Roof is periodically put up and down every week or so. windows left mostly up, parked in gear with handbrake off, battery unhooked and a car cover over the top in a ventilated garage. To be honest winter treatment is the same as summer treatment.

I would recommend coming along to the Wharfedale group meeting, the next one isn't far from Leeds Bradford Airport, by all means drop Mike (group leader) a message, It may give you a lot more useful information on where to source car/parts in addition to ownership experience etc. Always helpful to speak with local enthusiasts who can point you in the right direction. Really nice group of people for a general chat too.
  3. Hi Sam, I would suggest checking the injectors. A member on here suggested this. I am by no means an expert, in fact I am very much starting out with doing bits on older cars. Really straight forward to do. remove the metal plate holding each pair of injectors in, then pull one out and turn the car on. Make sure you spray it into a jar and you should see the cone shape spray into the jar. Turn the car off put the injector back in and try the next one.
  4. Plugs have been changed to NGK items. Seems to run better however after doing this work I went for a small test drive. Smelt a burning smell and see a bit of smoke from the rear of the engine up towards manifold/head area. Looks more like the Manifold side of the engine right at the back. Could this be linked to changing spark plugs? Does anyone have any ideas?
  5. So all injectors are working fine. I think I will put a new set of plugs in and see how I go from there.
  6. Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been flat out with work so the TR6 hasn't had a full investigation. Thank you all for your suggestions, I had a friend who is part of the TR club take a brief look and the plugs seam to be okay, so I am going to take a look at injectors today and see if one of those is blocked.

  8. Hi, I am looking for some help and this is my first foray into the TR Register Forum. My TR6 seems to be running lumpy/hesitant from idle up to around 2.5k revs. Throttle response doesn't seem to be as crisp as it was before. The car was running fine, sat for maybe 4/6 weeks without a proper drive out then developed this problem. Higher up the rev range it seems to sound okay. I have a coolant leak from somewhere front nearside which I think may be the top hose but thats a seperate issue which should be easily found/fixed and possibly unrelated to the above. I am new to the clas
