I would appeal explaining the circumstances and if they reject it appeal again through POPLA. https://www.popla.co.uk/
I recently successfully challenged a similar fine for going through Heathrow terminal 2 dropoff zone by mistake.

Thanks again Mike, just to close this loop out to its happy conclusion: POPLA just came through and threw the entire nonsense right out, just annoying how low NCP weasels stoop…

Stunning TRier and thanks Mike, definitely on my to do list……… We had it all booked earlier this year and then ‘had to’ cancel, thinking we should have gone anyway?!

Have a great day JOhn and enjoy it…. I’ve been known to spend many an hour just in the car park!

Agree Rob, I barely know that chap and find him irritatingly full of himself….. However, I can confirm rear (very upright) seats

Need you to be a bit more specific on this one Rob…..

Some sort of 'special' ? - 4 cylinder and relatively small engine judging by the exhaust. It looks a bit like an Amilcar C6.
Nah, not really Rob but you are definitely right about the engine… compared to the Lagondas and Bentley’s of the era!

Thanks Jon, this is great and the early side-screens looked reasonably well represented?

Roger, you were in the presence of greatness!……. OVC 276 did a bit in her day and I (think) sold for six figures not too long ago

Asking for a friend …….. recently, back in early May, I dropped my wife at Gatwick and paid the £5 charge on line the same day. Now NCP have sent a £100 fine for "stopping on the red route", they have photographs of me; and an entire queue of us! - The photo shows my wife hopping out while i am stopped at a zebra for someone crossing.
This is in hope rather than expectation, i suppose that I am bang to rights but, has NCP really got the authority to act like this? (When I paid them for the drop-off charge!)

It does when you are rallying Bob…….. (never ever thought I would ‘correct’ you?!

Thanks Bob,
Yep, the Lancia is the only somewhat ‘exotic’ one and I really enjoyed my Vitesse years ago; the straight six on song was an unmistakable sound.
However, based on my first car being an Imp I’ve always hankered after one that might possibly work most rather than some of the time ……. To be fair, I paid £8.00 (negotiated down from the original £15.00 - based on having a brand new spare tyre that did not fit the wheels?!)

Ha, same here Rob….!
However, on a serious note Peter, although I do not often respond I really do appreciate your posts on here and especially the sharing of your wide and varied knowledge…. (Over the past few years I have increasingly suffered reactions to wasp and bee stings and insect bites but I would never have made the link to eating a big steak; something I now unexpectedly know I need to keep an eye on going forward..)
