  1. Thanks Ian. Funny you should say that, I've always wondered if maybe she might be called Ken or something. Ho hum, time will tell, wouldn't be the first time I've made that mistake ;-) The previous owner had set her up for rallying, the passenger has the full navigator's odometer and light. Not something I suspect I'll be in to, but nice to have. Cheers Toby PS - Aphrodite because the initial registration was Cyprus in '56 as an export-registered UK-spec vehicle, returned to the UK two years later, so highly likely an RAF or Army officer's car
  2. I've been lurking for a little while, so time to introduce myself. Earlier this year I went on the hunt for a TR4 as the logical middle-age successor to my first car at age 17, which was a Vitesse. However, parked up next to a TR4 I went to view was Aphrodite, and it was love at first sight... She gets first dibs on the garage, so my 1954 Land Rover Series 1, and the wife's 1950 Ferguson tractor are consigned to the barn. Looking forward to learning lots more here. Cheers, Toby
  3. Fantastic, thank you, have sent a PM. What would you rate as the best 'affordable' screens - is it the Moss ones? Cheers Toby
  4. Hello, Apologies for what has doubtless been posted before, but I've been searching the forum and can't actually find the answer I'm after. I' like to fit aero screens to my TR3, but don't want to drill the scuttle to do so. I've found the repro screens on eBay at an eye-watering £550 a pop, but is there a more affordable option? There are references to fitting kits for Brooklands screens, but I can't actually find where to source them. Many thanks, Tobes
