    Hello Gentlemen,

Thanks for the tons of feedback.

I have ordered a 1,5 mm magnetic mat, which should hold 100g/mm2 according to the spec (you please do the tech conversion to your fancy system yourself :D)

Its the weight of a bar of chocolate per size of your Thumbnail, which should be sufficient for any standard noise damping mat weight.

Will further proceed and keep you posted..

    Cheers

    Oliver

The magnetic mat could be enough damping mass without sticking anything to it. Try it first before adding your chosen material.

(don’t use chocolate it would be a waste )

The parts catalogues May seen good but lead to a near uniformity of prices with less scope for shopping around.

The jumbles were using the catalogue and price lists.

I guess this is too small an issue for referral as creating a near monopoly.

It’s the info model history / changes and diagrams etc that I find interesting with the catalogues .
i go to the web for prices.
little point in comparing between the two from now on.

    Cheers Rich Crewe-Read

If you didn’t need mobility assistance before you will after

    :lol::D;)

    sorry Rich, couldn’t resist.

have a great event everyone - one day I’ll make it - just as my mum and dad did back in the day - the first time round.

  4. I really don’t see this as being good news for all the comments above on competition, quality and future proofing.
i know some see Rimmer as supplier of last resort but will moss now be forced to sink to the lowest common denominator?

Even Revington is, I understand selling his spares business and couldnt see the 2023 sponsorship deal through to supplying the end of year awards sad after so many years support being the sole sponsor.

fingers crossed that the smaller independents can capitalise on this.

i know some of the folk who do the clubs speed championship use magnetic number backgrounds that my be of some use.
perhaps demon tweeks or somewhere similar could help.

biggest anti rattle on the tr3 bonnet is securing the bonnet stay tightening the hinge nut and a good securing rubber.

  6. In light of johns BT problems I’d thought I’d share this scam caller number that I received today - it was  a BT internet scan call

I like to keep these people chatting ( on the basis that if they are talking to me they are not talking to someone “even more” vulnerable than me) before letting them know that my internet is provided via my employer - Greater Manchester Police

they then seem to disappear - how rude.

  7. If you have or can borrow a tyre inflator eg a 12v emergency type you can try pressurising the fuel line from the engine bay fuel pump to the tank. Worked for me at a race meeting.

Partial blockage issue turned out to be a small section of rubber pipe near rear axle joining  the 2 metal pipes from the tank had deteriorated.

Have to say I've gone over to Valvoline 20/50 VR1, gives better oil pressure reading when hot (and very hot!) and for some reason burns less

    +1 from me......

    Same here +1
