  1. I have mazda seats fitted with a rear roll cage in both my 6 and 4 and have four point harnesses in both. Both are TRS harnesses, 2 inch and 'normal' seat belt clip in the TR6, the TR4 has 3inch belts and has a competition buckle. The rollcage in the 6 is a safety devices and not sure of the manufacturer of the one in the TR4. I did have to change maxda seats in the 6 when I had the roll cage fitted from 'tombstone' ones to those with the separate head rests. An added bonus was that my wife really likes the four point harnesses. Dave
  2. Richard I run 165/80 on both the 6 and my 4, Michelin XAS and Vredestein Ttrac respectively. I ran the 6 for many years on 185/65 Uniroyals before switching to the XAS and would agree with Mick above, the car is just sweeter to drive. The 4 is a rally car so needs all the ground clearance it can get hence running 80 profile and the abuse the tyres get mean I go for more of a budget option where I can get a whole car set for the price of an XAS! It's worth having a good look at what tyres are available for a 6 in 165/80, there are plenty of different makes covering a range of prices b
  3. Rod I had what sounds similar to your problem over the weekend, although on myTR4. In the end we traced it to the fact that the rear wheel cylinders had become stuck to the back plates and wouldn't slide as supposed too. I have a twin master cylinder arrangement on the TR4 giving me a split between the front and rear brakes. Dave
  4. Saturday afternoon at Exeter racecourse having finished HERO Challenge 1 run over a 150 miles of Devon and Cornwall roads . Don't let the afternoon sun fool you we had lots of heavy downpours, some even of hail intermingled with some brief sunny spells for most of the day. Dave
  5. I have for sale a pair of leather MX5 'tombstone' seats that have been in my TR6 for the past 6 years. They have some wear on the outer bolsters, particularly the drivers side. As they've come from a TR they have been modified to sit on the conversion brackets sold by TR Trader and others. I wouldn't normally change them but have had to replace them because I fitted a rollover bar which doesn't allow the seats to recline properly £250.00
