  1. Have a look at my Injector Recon. article in my Triumph tr6 FaceBook page. Go to search injector reconditioning and it will come up. I tried to post the PDF file here but the forum only allows max. 4.88 mb files.
  2. Any reviews concerning Distributor Doctor would be appreciated.
  3. Done all this. Bench bled it and still air bubbles in the 2nd. recon M/C. Suspect the tipping valve isn't seating correctly, The cap on the TR6 M/C is the large type also.
  4. New Brake Master Cylinder and new callipers fitted. Rear brakes bled fine but no matter what I have tried I cannot get rid of air the in the fronts. Next method is to fit tyre valve to the old M/C cap and pressurise the system using that method. Has anybody had similar problems?
  5. All injectors now successfully rebuilt and working perfectly. O rings made of Viton 75 now sourced as per original equipment. Devised a method to refurbish the internal filters which nobody seams to mention. See - https://www.facebook.com/tr.birmingham.7 for further information or- https://www.facebook.com/groups/1023667624364837/ Cheers, Barry
  6. Harm Klijn Power Props in Amsterdam are manufacturing new injectors costing £69. Not too bad considering some suppliers are charging £89. Looks as though the valve opening pressure can be adjusted with these new ones. www.powerprops.com
  7. I shall be using Viton 75 O rings. GENERAL PROPERTIES VITON is DuPont-Dow Elastomer’s trade name for fluorocarbon elastomers. Mykin’s fluorocarbon elastomers exhibit excellent resistance to high temperature and low compression set. They respond very well with resistance to ozone, high temperatures, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics and many organic solvents and chemicals over a temperature range of -20F to +400F. Low temperature resistance for static applications is limited to approximately –40°F (–40°C) under special formulation. Under dynamic conditions, the lowest service temperature is between 5°F and 0°F (–15°C and –18°C). Gas permeability is very low and similar to that of butyl rubber. Special formulation can also improve resistance to water, steam, acids and fuels.
  8. I will be going through a detailed explanation with photos when I have completed the exercise. If the injectors haven't been used for a good number years then the internal O rings will likely have hardened considerably. Reconditioned units are about £20 each. Replace the injector block to inlet manifold O rings also. Barry
  9. Yes please. lucasbarry@blueyonder.co.uk
  10. http://www.chriswitor.com/proddetail.php?prod=CW3354V%E2%80%8B Showing unavailable. Have ordered a selection of Viton O rings from Bearing Station LTD in slightly differing sizes to try. now going to attempt internal injector filter repair using fine brass fuel filter mesh.
  11. Unfortunately the ones shown on the site are for the injector block to manifold and not for the internal ones. The site says the CW3354V are no longer available, surprise surprise.
  12. I am rebuilding 6 spare 1969 TR6 injectors. All dismantled and the O rings were like solid bakelite! So all cleaned up and lots of e mails and phone calls later, no one will supply the correct o rings. I know most charge about £20 for a reconditioned injector but you can do it yourself with a new (Viton) O ring for a few pence. The cross section of the ring is rectangular fitting in a 2mm x 1 mm deep groove. I can get 50 Viton O rings for about £3 but would prefer the original spec. Can anybody advise on who might supply.? Thanks, Barry.
