The Devon group was originally part of the Devon and Cornwall Group way back in 1977. But as you can imagine the geographical distances that members had to travel inspired Phillip Drinkwater to set up the TR Devon Group in the summer of 1978. He was the first elected Group Leader. There has been many Group Leaders between 1978 and the present day, all of those past and present committee members have been instrumental to the ongoing success of the Devon membership currently running at approximately 160 across the county.
