I've been refurbishing steering wheels on the side just to make a little extra coin to fund my own project. This one for a TR4/4A has just been completed and is now for sale. It's been sprayed (not by me) in 2-part epoxy paint. Ideally I would like £450 ono plus someones old knackered TR4/4A wheel on an exchange basis. Getting the wheel to the point where it can be painted takes a huge amount of time and lots of sanding and smoothing, which is why it's priced accordingly (I took advice from other people with regards to the price!). Also, I can only continue my work if I get exchanges as these steering wheels are a bit like hens teeth. The paint job has a few blemishes, but it's pretty good. I've shown it to other paint shops and they said that they doubted they could improve things. So it is what it is, but it would make a good addition to a car.
Note, I will only sell this if you can offer me a replacment TR4/4A bakelite steering wheel that I can then go on and refurbish - stocks of these are pretty low and I will run out if I don't do this.
Since these end up in our pride and joys I don't really want to send it in the post and it's quite valuable, however if you would like it couriered out to you then please message me and we can sort something out.
I'd love this to go to another TR enthusiast and find a good home!
