First event of 2017

Our visit to Caerleon in March turned out to be the first wet day we've had on our runs in recent years.Just 6 of us met in Monmouth, and made our way south. At the M4 junction we temporarily parted company, and at Caerleon, 4 of us watched anxiously for Caroline & Jeff to appear. Eventually a phone call established they'd broken down on the approach to the Coldra roundabout!Emergency calls to the AA & the police to safeguard them while they waited for the rescue vehicle, and some hours later they were transported back home. We 4 meanwhile enjoyed the visit to the Roman Baths and the Amphitheatre, despite the heavy drizzle! Next we made our way to the Foxhunter Inn at Nantyderry to meet up with Sian & Martin, and enjoyed a superb lunch.
