About Wye Dean
Wye Dean group was formed in Spring 1984, from what was formerly Wales and South West, one of the very earliest groups, originally formed in 1971. In November 2014 we marked the 30th birthday of Wye Dean with a meal at the Skirrid Inn, Abergavenny - see the photos on the Gallery. Our area now is mainly South Wales and Herefordshire, and stretches to include the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire.
We meet on the third Wednesday of the month and have recently changed venue to The Harewood End Inn, Harewood End, Herefordshire HR2 8JT. On these evenings some folk arrive at around 7pm to allow time for a bar snack (ring to book before hand, 01989 730637, and tell them you're part of Wye Dean) before the chat begins in earnest at around 8pm. Topics covered are many and various, and very it's all very informal - wives, partners and family members are welcome to join us. There's a mine of knowledge within the group for anyone experiencing challenges with their TR, and solutions to these 'challenges' generally forthcoming.
Throughout the year, we aim to get out and about with a varied programme of events (see the social reports). - we welcome other groups to these events, and sometimes return the compliment by joining other group's events. Our aim on these days is to get the TReasures out onto the open road, and feel the breeze in your hair (where applicable!!). We aim to visit interesting places, perhaps coast, country, historic places, motoring venues etc, and usually join up for a meal at some stage so we can spend time getting to know each other better.
We look forward to greeting new members, and offer a warm welcome to visitors from other groups who would like to join us on our club nights or any event through the year.
