The Wessex Group of the TR Register is one of the longest established groups in the country, having been formed by the previous TR Register Chairman Ian Evans, back in 1972, and we now have a proud tradition of preserving the TR marque, and catering for the enthusiast spanning over 35 years.
Wessex Group is the local group for TR Register members in the Hampshire area from Fareham in the east to Fordingbridge in the west, and stretching north to Winchester and Andover. We are also the local group for members on the Isle of Wight.
We are committed to representing all marques – TR2 to TR8, in Hampshire, and we have over 200 members registered in the area who are welcome to join us on any of our events which include:
- Monthly Club Nights
- Regular Club Runs
- Guest Speakers
- Attendance at Shows
- Annual Pride of Ownership competition
Club Nights are informal meetings where the interest and nostalgia of TR ownership is enhanced through socialising and friendship. We organise Club Runs, quizzes, film and video evenings, skittles, and our annual Christmas Dinner, and we welcome new ideas and suggestions from our members. We also circulate our own Group Newsletter, Wessex News, which highlights events we have been involved with, and includes our calendar of events to look forward to.
We meet on the fourth Tuesday each month at either The New Forest Nondescripts Club, Church Lane, Lyndhurst, SO43 7BG, or The Sir Walter Tyrrell Pub SO43 7HD - details of which venue are in the newsletter every month, so why not come along and meet us. I know you'll be made to feel very welcome.
