Farming Yesteryear Scone

Farming Yesteryear Scone Sunday 11th of September This was the Tay Groups Last Car Show of the season and we were very fortunate to have had a good day for it. There was a great turn out of members, supporting the event, from the Clyde Valley, Grampian, and our own Tay Group. Our Club Stand had plenty of lovely looking TR6`s, a TR3, a TR250 and a Swallow Doretti which attracted a lot of attention. There is always plenty to look at over the course of the day :- auto jumble, tractors, lorries, motor bikes, military vehicles and classic cars. Purchases from our members included floor paint, wine, car parts and bargain oil filter mugs. One of my highlights was getting on a 1912 Traction Engine and just enjoying it fantastic sweet mechanical sound and movement. Scone is famous for the mega delays getting out of the Show Ground so for the first time we had a BBQ afterwards which proved to be a great success. I got home 20 mins later than last year and did not have any hold ups when leaving
