TR Register IWE Lincoln
TR Register IWE Lincoln 15th, 16th and 17th of July
Friday afternoon saw a great turnout of Tay TR`s and Clyde Valley group members setting up our tents and gazebo ready for the weekend activities. Once we are settled we all had our standard discussion setting the scene for the weekend. The conversion soon went on to food and drink with agreement that we would need to venture into Lincoln to see what it had to offer. We had a lovely Italian meal and the restaurant did well serving such a large group.
Saturday saw some of us making use of the Show Ground café for our breakfast to give us the energy to find bargains on the trade, auto jumble and bring and buy stands. Some of the group took advantage of the organised bus into historic Lincoln to see the sites with others attending the Technical Seminars. Late afternoon was taken up discussing our purchases and getting organised for the now famous BBQ. The BBQ was fantastic with enough for any one with the largest of appetites. We had sausages, burgers, steaks, salad, and a wide choice of pudding which was my highlight of the day. Once the dishes and tidying up was done it was time for our social evening which was described by one of the group as a poor comic show gone wrong. A great day was had by all with great weather and company.
It is very encouraging to see 17 members supporting the IWE over the weekend considering the distances they had travelled. Sunday saw a few of us packing up for the long drive home leaving the rest to continue TR shopping and socialising. A superb weekend was had by all with great weather and company.
