Red Rose Group Weekend - Saturday & Sunday Runs

This year there is an open invitation to all TR register members to join us on the Red Rose Weekend Saturday and Sunday Runs.

Registration will be at 10am on Saturday 1st July and 10:15am Sunday 2nd July in the reception area of the Pinewood Hotel, 180 Wilmslow Road, Handforth, Wilmslow, SK9 3LF.

Registration fee is £15.00 (payable on the day) which covers the cost of the route book, rally plaque and LK classics tour for the car driver, additional tour places are available at a significantly discounted rate of £2.50 per person.

Saturday
There will be a short drivers briefing in the main car park at 10:15am prior to heading off to The Oil Can Café, Hepworth. Please note this is not a convoyed run and cars will be departing in two / three minute intervals. First cars will be leaving around 10:30 with last car around 11.00.

The run will follow a suggested route through the beautiful north peaks district countryside to The Oil Can Cafe Hepworth where a guided tour of LK Classics Restoration workshop has been arranged. The run is approximately 39 miles and should take no longer than one and a half hours at a leisurely pace. There is dedicated car parking at the venue for the group and for those not participating in the garage tour there are some nice retail outlets to view and refreshments will be available from the café, we highly recommend the cakes!

After the stop, participants are free to do their own thing or use the suggested return route (approx. 49 miles) on a selection of beautiful roads though Langsett and Derwent Valley, Lady Bower Reservoir, Castleton, Winnetts Pass and the opportunity to visit the famous Speedwell or Blue John Caverns.

Sunday
The run is to two venues both of which are worth a visit. Firstly the Lion Salt works at Northwich where you can discover Cheshire's salt making story and then onto Dagfields Craft and Antique centre for a bit of retail therapy and maybe a snack before heading off home.
