RED ROSE JUNE BULLETIN
Hello again. It's been a busy few months and summer is just about here
The first classic car show of the season was at Gawsworth Hall on the 1st of May with over eighteen Red Rose/ Register cars in attendance and we will be arranging to have a Register stand for next year's event.
Six Red Rose cars attended this year's Traws Group week end in the Brecon Beacons which, as always was a great success.
There was another full house at the Antrobus Arms for the June meeting with six cars from Stoke Group joining us on the afternoon run through Delamere Forest to Lady Heyes Antique Centre. Thank you to Stoke Group and we are looking forward to another joint run later this year through the Derbyshire Dales.
3rd & 4th June - Tatton Park Classic and Performance Car Show
Booking for June Tatton Park show is now closed and tickets have been posted to all entrants. If you haven't already paid your £1 to cover postage cost could you please pay Bob Eccles at the event. Places are still available for the Tatton Park Passion for Power Classic Car show on the 19th and 20th August and The Oulton Park Gold Cup over the August Bank Holiday weekend. 11th June – Antrobus meeting, Afternoon run to Bunbury Mill
June Antrobus meeting is on the 11th starting at the usual time of 12pm with a post meeting run to Bunbury Mill, organised by Keith Nuttall departing 1:45. All members are welcome to join us at the meeting or at 1:45pm for the run.
11th June - Lancashire Automobile Club Manchester to Blackpool run
A number of Red Rose cars will be attending this year's L.A.C. Manchester to Blackpool run. Booking details are available on the Lancashire Automobile Club web site
30 June - 2 July Red Rose Group Weekend
The main event of the year is getting nearer! All the reserved rooms at the Pinewood Hotel are now taken however there is still an opportunity for you to join us on the Saturday and Sunday runs
Saturday 1 July - Run to The Oil Can Cafe Hepworth, guided tour of LK Classics restoration workshop and return route through north Derbyshire Dales – Pre booking is required for the Saturday run and workshop tour, email Jonathan / Caroline Smith at trredrose@hotmail.com for registration details. Cars will be departing 10:15 from Pinewood Hotel Wilmslow
Sunday 2 July – Run through Cheshire Countryside to Salt Works Museum, Northwich and Dagfields Craft And Antiques Centre Nantwich, Pre booking not required but it would be appreciated if you could email Jonathan / Caroline at trredrose@hotmail.com if you are considering attending so we have an idea of the number of cars, Cars will be departing 10:30 from the Pinewood Hotel Wilmslow
Red Rose Facebook Group
Thank you to those who have joined and contributed to the Red Rose Face book group over the last few months. We will be announcing event details and updates through the year on the Facebook page and TR Register members are encouraged to join and share details of their cars and events.
There will be a randomly selected prize later this year for all new Facebook members who have joined from January 2017. So why not join? You could be a winner!
