TR Action Report London Group presented for issue 301

Right first things first many, many congratulations to Chiltern Group and in particular Ian Smith for the British Grand Prix coup. Really well done fantastic, absolutely superb, brilliant exposure. Now back to London Group activities the high light of the last few weeks was the BBQ Group meeting hosted by Crown Classics in Twickenham. We kicked off earlier than usual to get the BBQ going and everything in place. Well after the BBQ had finally calmed down and stopped gassing us, we were treated to Burgers and Sausages et cetera. Well over 30 people crammed into Crown Classics garage and it was great to see new and old members re-introduce themselves. During the evening I think a number of master classes were held, either by Jay of Crown Classics (btw welcome to the TR Register) or by knowledgeable London Group members. Certainly, more cars were in the garage than we originally started with. Earlier in the month, a group of 6 cars headed out to the Shurlock Arms for a Sunday Pub meal. It was particularly good to see Richard Cooper in his powder blue TR3A and I really have to thank Keith Parkinson for making a missed right turn manoeuvre so memorable, it certainly got my heart racing. The earlier part of the month included 5 or 6 cars and a motor bike heading off to the South cost for Fish n Chips, well done to Tony Lennon who braved the elements to have a dip in the English Channel meet and of course we had our first monthly group meeting in Richmond. A bit like my last report I don't really know what happened this time I was in France or Belgium or Italy or Germany at the time doing the Club Triumph 10 Countries. So finally, then come and join us for a noggin and a natter over a beer, you are most welcome. You can generally find us on the first Thursday of every month at the Rose of York in Richmond or on the third Thursday at an alternative venue (keep an eye on the web site https://www.tr-register.co.uk/group/london) - both now start at about 9:00pm as the days are getting shorter, by the way Christmas plans are well advanced as is the Fireworks Party and a winter Health check early in 2018
